January Dormitory Diary Entry - Ueno (Patreon)

Thank you very much for your support. Here's my diary entry for January, and I apologize for the delay.

Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to work alongside one of my favorite animators, who was in charge of storyboarding and directing an episode. I've been watching that episode over and over, finding myself secretly beaming with joy every time. Seeing this person take on the role of a storyboard director is quite rare, so witnessing it firsthand has been truly exhilarating. It's moments like these that reaffirm my belief in the magic of anime!

I find myself eagerly anticipating the next chance to collaborate with this talented individual. I've come to realize that my greatest motivation stems from observing and learning from the animators I admire. The process of conceptualizing movement continues to be a source of joy for me, inspiring me to dedicate myself to further refinement and growth in my work.

At the end of the year, I had a blast participating in a mochi-making session at a friend's house, which inspired me to put it down on paper. Even though my memory of the event is a bit fuzzy, sketching it out was just as fun.

I'm looking forward to another year of growth and learning. Thank you for everything.

1月の日記です。

遅れて申し訳ありません。

最近、大好きなアニメーターさんが絵コンテ演出を担当され、その回をとにかく繰り返し見ては一人でニヤニヤしております。

その方が絵コンテ演出を担当されてる姿をなかなか見ないため、本当に本当に嬉しくてやはりアニメは素晴らしいものだなと…！改めて感じています…！

次この方の作品にお会いできるのはいつだろう…！

やはり自分のやる気につながる一番の源は好きなアニメーターさんの動画を見ることだなと思っております。

動きを考えることは変わらず楽しいので今年も日々精進してまいります。

年末、友達の家で餅つきして楽しかったので描きました。色々うろ覚え状態だけど描くのも楽しかったです。
