September Dormitory Diary Entry - Okabe (Patreon)

I was just watching an anime when, to my surprise, I spotted the name of a senior mentor of mine in the ending credits. I mean, I know that as an animator, it's kind of expected, but it still caught me off guard. 

A few days ago, I picked up some doujinshi (self-published works) put out by fellow animators. They were filled with sketches, many of which had this raw, dynamic feel — really cool stuff. I'd love to recreate all of them, experiment with different styles, and really push my limits.  Inspired by these works, I gave the rugged style a shot. It just reminded me that mastering art won't happen overnight.

何となくアニメを見ていたら、いつも指導してくださる先輩の名前がEDに載っていてびっくりしました。アニメーターなので当然そういうことがあると分かっているとはいえ、やっぱり、まだびっくりします。

先日、アニメーターの方が出している同人誌をいくつか買いました。たくさん落書きが載っていて、荒々しくてダイナミックな絵が多くてかっこよかったです。全部写していろんな絵を描いて頑張ってすごくなりたいです。影響を受けたので、荒々しい感じの絵を描いてみました。絵は急には上手くならないなあと思いました。
