May Dormitory Diary Entry - Shimai (Patreon)

Sorry for the late update! As always, thank you for your support. This is Shimai.

Here is my dormitory diary entry for May.

I’ve been feeling sick, so I’m trying to be extra careful about my health this month…

I’ve gotten some in-between assignments for training doing water effects and dynamic fabric movement.

Both present difficult issues because there are no consistent shapes, but it’s also interesting because, even if given the same keyframes to work from, no two in-between animator’s answers will look the same.

For now, I can get through the assignments with corrections from my supervisors, but someday, I’d like to be able to confidently show off my own style through the answers I develop.

I really wanna get into my first paid animation job! I’ve got a friend who joined a studio in Osaka and apparently their already working like crazy!

This is something I drew a while back, but I really like it so I thought I’d share it here. m(_ _)m

5月の寮生日記になります。

体調を崩し気味なので今月は特に健康に気を使った生活を心がけたいです。。。

今、研修では水のエフェクトや、布のなびきの中割りの課題が出ています。

どちらも形状がよく変化するので難しいですが、同じ原画でも動画マンによって様々な答えがあるというのが面白いと感じました。

今は先生方からの修正ありきで完成させることが出来ますが、いつかは自分なりに導き出した答えを自信を持って見せられるようになりたいです。

大阪のアニメ会社に入った友人も、もうガンガン仕事をしているみたいなので、私も早くアニメのお仕事でお金を貰いたいと思いました！
