April Dormitory Diary Entry - Yamaguchi (Patreon)

This is Tomona Yamaguchi.

I finally started my animation career in April.

I’m still in my apprenticeship though, so my days are basically the same as they were in March. That is, studying in-between animation all day every day.

Due to COVID restrictions, my studio didn’t hold a new hire ceremony this year so all of this change doesn't feel as…real? 

I feel like that'll change once my apprenticeship is over though and I get my hands on some real work.

I can’t shake the feeling that I’m still a student despite working my heart out to learn in-between animation. Though, I recognize that I have a long way to go.

I know it’s a slow process, but because of that, it's hard to feel like I'm in control of my progress…

It feels like I've just been running in circles up until now. You could say that I've felt a bit down recently. But I'm doing better now!

I just wanna draw a bunch (within reason of course).

山口倫奈です。

4月に入りいよいよ新人アニメーターとして働き始めました。

とはいっても、見習い期間中なので3月に引き続き動画の描き方を練習する日々です。

今年は感染対策のため入社式がなかったこともあり、なんだか実感がわきません。

見習い期間が終わるころようやく働いてるという自覚が出てくるような気がします。

学生気分がまだまだ抜けない0.1人前のわたしですが、立派な動画マンになるべく毎日頑張っています。

少しずつではありますが、できることが増えているような……そんなこともないような……。

早速頑張りが空回りして落ち込むことはままありますが今のところは元気です。

無理せずたくさんお絵描きしていきたいです。
