Weekly Roundup 141 - Finalized Skills System - New Build Released - Hentai Expo! (Patreon)

Hi everyone!

There's lots to talk about this week! From the skills system and all its polish, to participation in Hentai Expo 2023. So let's get into it!

New Build Released!

1: What's New?

Even with this week being slightly shorter due to Easter a lot of good polish work was done to finalize the skills system for what I would call a successful first iteration of the systems:

Firstly the skills screen got a few extra features added to it. Notably the visual art of the Bindmancer's gear upgrading in the middle of the screen, as well as as a attribute stats section which shows you how the skills improve the character. 

The stats screen also shows what the next upgrade will do to the stat when selected.

In addition to the stats screen I also improved the Dungeon UI icons on the top right side of the dungeon UI. The options menu, skills screen, and gallery screen now have their own icons as well as showing what button you have to press to access the screen.

The skills and gallery icon also now have a small red dot that appears whenever there's either skill points to spend or something new in the gallery to view!

Finally I made a small fix with the restart level logic. Sometimes it locked up and that should be fixed now. The reset level button is now in the options menu.

2: Hentai Expo - Streaming Saturday / Sunday

A heads up that the Bindmancer will be on display at this years Hentai Expo stream event!

It'll be a 5 hour long stream and a showcase of upcoming and released games.

3: What's Next?

Next week will be focused on working on something new for the Bindmancer. We'll take a break from the skills system to let it settle in. We'll of course return to expand and improve it at a later date.

I wanna work on something that can be done in a two week period, as I want to work on an animation pack in may.
