Hi everyone!

A bit of a short weekly roundup this week as there's not much visual to show but a lot of good progress has been made! 

For those interested: The next playable build upload which will include the new EXP / Skills system will be released on March 30th. So keep your eyes peeled!


1: What's New?

This week was mainly focused on a few key aspects of the skills system in the game:

First off some was spent setting up a save system so all the progress of player level, EXP points earned, and skills progression is kept updated during the whole campaign and turning off the game and booting it back up. As well as setting up data erasing for new campaigns.

Time was also spent play-testing each skill to ensure upgrading the skill resulted in some part of the character getting stronger.

And then finally some extra work was done on the UI to better communicate which skill the player has selected for leveling up!

And finally a little bit of game balancing was done. You'll find the game is harder initially now until you can level-up a bit!


2: What's Next?

Next up is some visual flare to the Skills UI Screen. - There's a reason the middle area of the UI is currently blank as I have plans for it! 

It might take 1-2 weeks to do it but it should look really nice in the end! I need to sketch ideas out first and then draw and animate them!

The completed Skill UI screen artwork wont be ready for March 30th build, but the gameplay systems itself will be! So I hope you all get a lot of fun and a kick out of it!

I'm guessing there's a Skill Preview pic for each type? Maybe the soul of one of the characters in the photograph?
