This whale is too high level, but otherwise a sustained Purify might work? One of these days, Rain ought to use soul sight to look at a slime he's converting, see if what happens to its soul can be replicated in other monsters.

If he could survive inside the Whale's stomach for at least an hour, he might be able to kill it. The whale has to dive back down after at most 30 minutes, and a higher-ranked zone would allow Rain to do something like 1M DPS to it. The whale can't really touch him inside of it's own stomach. Then he'd have to pray that the whale floats back to the surface rather than sink further down. Using a Refrigerate Nova in the depths of the ocean sounds like a great way to call a Leviathan.

In fairness, once he leaves the sinking whale, using Refrigerate is going to be a really really fast way to get to the surface. The whale can sort of touch him inside - that's what the motorsaw-teeth-throat-lining is for - but yeah, that's not going to be enough to crack Rain. The main problem, of course, is that Rain doesn't have the time to wait 30 minutes - there are other whales after the ship...
