Luke & Mara Jade (Patreon)

an illustration I did recently of my favourite pairing in Star Wars -and my favourite Star Wars characters- Luke Skywalker (post Return of the Jedi) and his former would-be assassin and now wife Mara Jade! It's a pen and ink illustration done up in watercolours and then scanned and brought into photoshop where I reworked some stock background paintings I made (I'm slowly building a stock folder of background art I've painted for quick and easy background drops) of sky and space to create their backdrop. I love Mara Jade so much and have done so many pieces with her and, yes, I gave her nice long nails: yes every lady I draw has to share my fashion sense (even if my new inch and a half long nails are making this very hard to type)
