FIFER's FC24 Realism Mod Info (Patreon)
Content
Hi guys!
Will keep this post short. The FC24 Realism Mod is well under development, with the first Alpha to be released this month. This year’s mod will be better, faster, and more transparent. I want to prove that with actions, not words, so again I won’t go into too many details in this post.
Timelines
- The first Alpha should be released this month (November).
- The first Beta should be released in late December to early January.
- The final release should be in late January to early February.
The way I am creating the mod this year is completely different. Everything has changed. Last year I spent a lot of time working on automating parts of the creation process. This work took time, and was a big reason why the mod came out so late. This year, while I am still working on making things even more automated, the effort I put in last year is now reaping rewards. Almost everything I do is fully automated now. I have hundreds of Python scripts, various tools, new software, testing environments, and far more. Things that took hours, now take minutes, sometimes even seconds.
That being said, things got started a bit later this year, as I had to put a lot of time into the tool (FIFA Editing Toolsuite, what we use to make/use mods), to get it working with FC24. FC24 has also had some big changes modding-wise, for instance face meshes from previous games (ie, all the face mods we have), need conversion for FC24. So, sadly, the first Alpha won’t have as much content as I would have liked, and generally content-wise we are a bit behind where we were last year. By the first Beta, we should be caught up. And from there, things will take off.
Obviously, the final release of 1.0 won’t be as complete as 1.0 was in FIFA 23, but it should be close. Over the next few months after the release of 1.0, we will release updates (1.1, 1.2, etc) with many new exciting things, many of which the FIFA 23 mod doesn’t even have.
Mod
We want to deliver more content, with more stability, than ever before.
With new testing controls and far less manual work, there are much fewer opportunities for mistakes to arise, which should drastically increase stability, from the first Alpha, to the final release.
We want to expand on the content of the FIFA 23 mod.
- Many player and manager faces will be added, many will be improved
- Many tattoos will be added and updated. There were ~620 in the FIFA 23 mod. This year, we are aiming for 800, at least.
- Many more manager outfits will be added across many more managers. In the FIFA 23 mod, there were only real manager outfits for ~40 managers. We want to make that 100 in the FC24 mod.
- We want to provide a far better graphical experience. We will replace all generic GK kits, add more kit fonts, anthem jackets, minifaces, and tons of other graphics, than ever before, all with more quality.
- We will put even more effort into the gameplay mod, touching more areas, and find a perfect balance of realism and excitement.
- I plan, and am already working on, redesigning many of the algorithms of the core Realism Mod. So get ready for much more realistic player wages, transfers, negotiation, simulation, training, and more.
- We are going to expand on selection of addons, with more scoreboards, TV logos, news logos than the FIFA 23 mod, and many addons that weren’t in the FIFA 23 mod, such as menu themes, optional faces, referee kits, user manager outfits, and stadium addons.
- Lastly, we are going to re-add a main mod, the Dynamic Youth System Mod, which appeared in the FIFA 22 mod but not FIFA 23. We will rebuild it from the ground up, making generated players (regen, youth academy players), far more realistic, and far more varied, and they will change their appearances over time.
This is just a small portion of what we have in store. Of course, we will improve all mods, not just the ones listed above. We want to add more boots, improve the turf, etc. But like I said, I want to show stuff this year with action, not words. We have some really exciting, groundbreaking stuff planned for a bit later in this cycle too, so stay tuned for that. We are also working on improving the discord, and have a secret project that will change the way you get support with the mod in a major way.
It should be the same Realism Mod experience you love, but more perfect in every way imaginable, and you won’t have to wait as long for it.
I’m going to be constantly communicating news about the mod, including how the ETAs I provided are looking, as well as screenshots, videos, and info about features/progress, on my Twitter account, and in the Discord server, so make sure to follow and join those.
