A pic for flydeath95, captioned by BrentwoodSociety:
Princess was more elated than she had ever been.  She was happier than when she’d graduated from high school with a perfect grade point average.  She was more thrilled than she’d been after making the Dean’s list at university.  None those achievements or any others compared to the feeling of her owner leading her to the first-place podium on the stage at the annual Richter Co. Dog Show.     Squatting prettily on the number one block, where she always knew she’d belonged, she bounced and wagged her tail happily as the crowd cheered and dozens of camera flashes lit up the room.  All eyes were on her and she loved it!
As tempting as it was, Princess didn’t allow her sudden celebrity-pup status didn’t go to her head.  Of course it had been her that flawlessly ran through her prepared trick routine.  It had been her that got the best time on the obstacle course.  It had been her that charmed the judges with her barks and wiggling behind.  It had been her owner—her master—who had drilled her, tested her, and encouraged her every day leading up to the dog show.  Without him she knew that she would never have won.
Hard as it was for vain, little Princess, she tore her eyes away from the adoring crowd and looked up at her owner.  She stopped lolling her tongue and closed her mouth.  Then she smiled in the way she reserved only for him as if to say, “Thank you, Master!”
