Nadia raised the infant Iyrs in the wilds of the island for the next couple of months, Iyrs growing bigger at a fast pace. Her growth required more food and soon the small animals Nadia had hunted for her weren't enough and Iyrs began attacking the Island's livestock.

The islanders, understandably upset at their produce being stolen, hunted down Iyrs and attempted to kill the small orange creature. This act made Nadia furious and Iyrs, sensing her hatred and Shin Gojira's powers hidden deep within her, tried to fuse with Nadia in an attempt to feed off of it.

Nadia welcomed this, her hatred towards humans blinding her common sense. Iyrs cocooned Nadia and tried to fuse with her however she was interrupted by the humans who proceeded to wound the still young Iyrs causing her to flee. Iyrs did however manage to get some of Nadia's DNA and use it to mutate into a more invulnerable form.

Nadia herself was hunted down and captured by the islanders however she ‘awakened’ blasting a huge crater in the ground, stealing one of their boats and fleeing the island. Nadia’s awakening alerted the DOE operatives and Shin Godzilla himself who sent several humanoids and a Krystalak to investigate what was going on.

Both parties move to intercept Nadia, however Monarch gets to her first, their floating Pacific observatory by chance being in the area after detecting Iyrs. Nadia was captured and proceeded to be interrogated by Monarch's Dr Emma Russell who accused Nadia of terrorising the Islanders. When Nadia did nothing but deny it, accusing humans of killing her parents when they did nothing wrong.

Emma Russell threatens to torture Nadia but their base is attacked by Iyrs who frees Nadia and sinks the floating fortress. A call to the other Monarch bases goes out as several of Shin's humanoids and the Krystalak intercept Iyrs in an attempt to retrieve Nadia. Iyrs instead kills them and absorbs even more DNA, now mutating into huge form.

Iyrs makes landfall in Japan, much to the dismay of Prime Minister Yaguchi, who is very sick and tired of all these kaiju making landfall in his country. Thankfully however, Iyrs stays near the coast in Kamakura. Yaguchi deploys the Defense force against Iyrs forcing her into the sky. Yaguchi almost has a breakdown when Shin Gojira surfaces off the coast of Kamakura, clearly having followed Iyrs. Director Ogashira sends Evangelion, the Shin Humanoid with Professor Hazama and a crew of other scientists to intercept and advise.

An aerial dogfight between the defence force and Iyrs ensures before being interrupted by Gamera. Yaguchi orders the defence force to shoot down both of them. The defence force complies and proceeds to blast Gamera out of the sky. Gamera, still healing from confronting SpaceGodzilla is injured and Iyrs goes after him, sensing weakness.

Before Iyrs can spear him to death, Shin blasts Iyrs with his photon beam. Iyrs hesitates as Nadia's conflicted feelings on seeing Shin pollute Iyrs’s resolve. Shin attacks again and Iyrs shakes off Nadia’s hesitation by forcing her to relive the night her parents died. Iyrs tries to attack Shin, but his biological radar keeps Iyrs from even getting close to him.

Shin makes his way to Gamera and reassures the guardian that he is not here to antagonise him, only to retrieve his offsprings daughter, which Iyrs used to steal his DNA and could theoretically mutate into a violent and vengeful monster equal to himself. Maybe even surpass himself. This understandably  worries Gamera and considers calling for help from the other kaiju, however Shin rejects this as it gives Iyrs an opportunity to steal more DNA. Gamera argues that even with mankind’s assistance, the mutated Gyaos is not an easy kill even for Shin.

Shin has a solution to this and requests Gamera protect him from Iyrs however the mutated Gyaos attacks Shin while he is distracted, tackling him to the ground, crushing several buildings. Shin lets out several photon beams in panic, taking out several tanks, a helicopter and slicing one of Iyrs’s tentacles. Gamera grabs Iyrs and drags her off Shin and throws her away before stomping on her tentacles.

Gamera proceeds to fight the Mutant Gyaos, however Irys gradually over powers Gamera, landing a punch to his chest that damages his plastron and renders him unable to use his chest furnace. Iyrs also use one of her jaw tentacles to grab and rip off his right arm. Before Iyrs can finish the Guardian off however, Shin unleashes his thermal flame at the both of them, almost suffocating them both before igniting the densely scolding smoke.

Iyrs only laughs, calling the flames weaker than a small forest fire, but is cut off when Gamera absorbs uses Shin’s thermal flame as a lethal power up and stabs the mutant Gyaos through the stomach with an arm made of fire. He removes it and proceeds to slice through Iyrs’ neck in one stroke.

Gamera quickly removes Nadia from Iyrs and makes sure that she is okay. She awakes to Gamera and Shin standing over her, Eva and the human scientist arriving on scene with an army escort. Traumatized and terrified, she has a complete mental breakdown and Eva goes to comfort Nadia. She tries to reassure Nadia however, she reacts violently to the sight of the humans and has to be restrained.

Professor Hazama notes that Nadia is violent and Eva asks for time alone with Nadia to find out why. Shin Gojira interrupts, with Eva translating, and explains the story behind Nadia’s parents. Despite severing his mental link with them, he did occasionally check on them. Realising that humans had killed them he sent several humanoids to investigate. Although he does not explain what they found he said that he would recognise the work of the USDOA anywhere.

This unnerves the scientists and Professor Hazama blatantly asks if Goro Maki was truly insane enough to feed himself to Shin Gojira. Shin Gojira does not respond to this, however does observe Hazama with great curiosity. Eva explains that Monarch also got their hands on Nadia but it is not known what they did to her. Hazama notes that Nadia would not do well around humans and suggests that Shin take her back to his hivemind. Shin however refuses her lack of a connection to his hivemind will cause the others to act violently towards her.

Eva offers to look after her but Hazama is worried about the close human proximity for her. Gamera steps in and says that he will look after the child, noting that he could have stepped in and saved Nadia long before she reached this point. Shin agrees to this and Gamera takes Nadia back to Atlantis.

Shin Gojira however stays and requests to talk to the leader of the country. A relay is sent between Minister Yaguchi and Shin Gojira with Eva acting as translator. Yaguchi greets Shin Goji politely however Shin Gojira has no time for pleasantries. Shin Gojira knows that the DOA have the bodies of Nadia’s parents and is furious about this saying it undermines the late Goro Maki’s efforts to protect him and himself. Yaguchi is confused by this however Shin demands that efforts be made to recover their bodies.

Yaguchi is skeptical however Shin argues that it is in humanity's best interests that no nation on Earth ever harness his power. Humanity can’t even control nuclear power let alone a power that far surpasses it. Shin also offers to protect Japan from other Kaiju if it retrieves Nadia’s parents for him. Yaguchi, although apprehensive, agrees to the terms and Shin departs with the promise that he’ll sent a gift to Yaguchi to aid the agreement.

Yaguchi is left to wonder what he has just done.
