Gojira’s Wandering Child

“I did nothing to you humans and yet you treat me like something beneath you! You mistake me for my progenitor, Gojira and you think me as violent and as cruel as he! You’ll try and kill me or study me like some animal! I will raise this creature as my own and I will finish what HE started!”

Nadia was the daughter of two independent minded humanoids of Shin Godzilla. Her parents had left the Scarlet King's domain as they had found Shin Gojira to be a cruel and ruthless master and upon learning they were having a child sought a better life for them.

Her parents had been shown kindness by some human fisherman they had stumbled upon and they had helped the two reach an island near Gamera's home of Atlantis, one of the last above water sites of the ancient city. With the fisherman's help they set up a small home in the mountains and Nadia was born soon after.

She matured into the human equivalent of an 8 year old within the space of a year, her lineage contributing to her unnatural rapid growth. By this time, only very few people knew of the small family on the island, which was inhabited by descendants of the Ancient Atlantians who were said to guard the egg of an ancient evil demon Gamera had once defeated in the past.

Nadia was curious and inquisitive, managing to befriend a young human boy, Moribe, and his family, the Hirasaka’s. Although initially wary of Nadia and her parents, the Hirasaka’s welcomed the strange family into their home and taught them about the sunken city of Atlantis, of Gamera and the other Kaiju that roamed the world. Overtime, most of the humans on the island came to accept them despite their lineage.

Shin Godzilla’s waning violence, truce with Gamera and Legendary Godzilla after the SpaceGodzilla’s invasion also helped the Islanders be at ease with Nadia and her family as Shin was actively protecting the ocean west of the Island. Nadia’s father commented that their progenitor seemed somewhat less violent and a clear deep change had occurred in the Mutant King. What it was however, he was unsure.

Nadia’s life was remarkably peaceful until one of the fishermen who had brought her parents to the island was interrogated by US officials and the information about the islanders leaked. With the American DOE already furious after having lost Shin Godzilla as a specimen due to Goro Maki’s interference and the Science Patrol and Monarch now handling all issues relating to him, it was decided to capture the two Humanoid Gojirans for experimentation. Shin Godzilla nor the Science Patrol was unlikely to act upon two unknowns, especially if they had taken care not to be noticed by either parties.

The Atlantian’s island was covertly raided under the pretense of cracking an international drug running ring and attempted to abduct Nadia’s parents. However the islanders and her parents fought back, her parents using their powers to defend the Islanders and their daughter. It sadly wasn’t enough and both her parents perished, their bodies being dragged away by dark armoured soldiers leaving Nadia alone, traumatized and distraught. No longer trusting humans she went to live in the wilds where the shrine to Ryuseicho stood.

She sheltered in the cave for a week, hopeless and terrified. She would often try to invoke her “Grandfather”, Shin Gojira to help her, to bring back her parents and destroy the humans who did this to her parents. When nothing came about this she attempted to invoke Gamera instead. Upon her invoking the Guardian’s name, the stone egg inside the shrine began to react.

The egg hatched and a small creature with a grey snail’s shell and orange tentacles hatched. Nadia was besmitten with the tiny creature and named it Irys, after the cat her mother had adopted. Irys although initially hostile towards Nadia, calmed down when it realised she wasn’t a threat.

Nadia took Irys to her parents old abandoned shelter to care for the small creature with hopes of raising it to avenge her parents.

Notes:

• Shin Gojira does know about her parents leaving his hive mind, however chose to leave them be and severed the remaining psychic connection to allow them complete freedom.
• Nadia is very naive and has a very small outlook on the world due to her parents secluding her and the remoteness of the island.
• Nadia’s parents leaving the hivemind occurs before SpaceGodzilla’s invasion however the DOE raid which kills them occurs after ShinGojira ends the SpaceGodzilla/Belial conflict and the new Monster King is crowned.
• Nadia has never met a Kaiju. She has only heard about them in stories told by her parents and the other humans on the island.
• Anticipating events in the future with his new abilities ripped from Ririn, Shin Gojira begins spawning and carefully shaping a very unique type of Humanoid Gojiran as a ‘gift’ to a human named Rando Yaguchi.
