Ultraman Belial

ウルトラマンベリアル

Fallen Dark Warrior

“It truly is a shame that the Ultra’s couldn’t see such an immense power source when it presented itself to them. If utilised and manipulated properly, this creature could outmatch the plasma spark itself.”

Ultraman Belial was a powerful Ultra who fought alongside Ken, Father of Ultra and Mary, Mother of Ultra in the Great Ultra War against Alien Empera. After Ken was elevated to a higher position during said war, Belial became jealous and sought more power leading him to attempt to take the Land of Light’s Artificial Sun, The Plasma Spark.

Belial was punished and banished from the Land of Light, home planet of the Ultra’s, for this transgression and eventually fused with the Alien Rayblood into a Reionics and given the Giga Battle Nizer and an army of 100 monsters and attacked his home world in revenge. Although defeating his old comrades, Belial was sealed away by Ultraman King who imprisoned him in a space prison which became the Land of Light’s moon.

After being freed by a foolish Alien Zarab’s, Belial went on to commit numerous atrocities across the universe and becoming the Land of Light’s most dangerous enemy and found rivalry in Ultraman Seven’s son, Zero. Zero had also similarly tried to steal the Plasma Spark and was banished however learnt from his crime and sought to better himself going forward.

Belial first noticed SpaceGodzilla when he grew in power and followers to become a threat to the Land of Light who often attempted to stop his rampage and control over innocent worlds. Tired of constantly coming at odds with the Ultras, the SpaceGodzilla had sought to negotiate rather than continue the conflict and an uneasy agreement between them was formed. SpaceGodzilla would not threaten worlds protected by the Ultras and likewise he was free to reign over the worlds he had conquered or were of free territory.

With Earth being Ririn's home world, Belial sent the Alien Sturm,Kei Fukuide, with his DNA to create Ultraman Geed and seek out other Kaiju powers in the form of Little Stars. Despite Geed being Belial’s son, he wanted nothing to do with his dark heritage and proceeded to help the Science Patrol, Ultraman and Zero.

Belial sent smaller Kaiju to test Ririn and his Kaiju until he eventually sent 2 of his Darkness Five, Deathlogue and Villainous, to either match or destroy the SpaceGodzilla. Ririn bested both of them, convincing Belial of the SpaceGodzilla’s power and sought to obtain it for himself, approaching Ririn himself and offering him a place in the Darkness Five. Ririn rejected the offer, refusing to be one of Belial’s minions and knowing full well Belial’s history.

Belial was insulted however seemed to drop to subject and leave the SpaceGodzilla to his Kaiju Empire. He professed no bad blood between them, sending monsters like Jirass and Tyrant, to assist Ririn in his own battles as a sign of good faith. Understandably initially wary and suspicious of Belial and his intentions, Ririn came around to accept the help despite Gigan’s protests.

Gigantic had been correct in his suspicions as ‘Jirass’ had turned out to be one of the Darkness Five, Jatar, and had covertly dosed Ririn with psychic inhibitors, making him susceptible to being manipulated by Belial. Ririn’s psychic powers had weakened enough for Belial to take physical control of him however Ririn’s Iron will prevented Belial from activating the SpaceGodzilla’s powers.

With Ririn unable to control himself physically, Belial forces him to attack his son Obsidious in an attempt to break his iron will however Gigan grabs the smaller Kaiju and drags him out of the Crystal Fortress. Outside he is met by Jatar and forced to fight the monster with assistance from Ultraman Zero as Geed goes to try and stop Belial. The fight however stops the instant a furious YoroiGoji appears seeking Ririn’s blood, kills Jatar, drains Zeros power and forces Gigan and Obsidious to flee.

The sight of YoroiGoji causes Ririn’s mind to suddenly retreat in sheer terror at seeing the creature who haunted his nightmares. Seeing the SpaceGodzilla’s defences fall, Belial proceeds to brutally rip the golden crest off his head, wounding Ririn and transferring complete control to Belial who proceeds to transform the SpaceGodzilla into a mindless rampaging mirror image of Arch Belial.

The mindless SpaceGodzilla begins to rip apart the Earth by turning the city of Fukuoka into a forest of skyscraper sized crystals Belial can now use as a power source and trapping Geed, Zero and YoroiGoji in crystal prisons.
