I have a Filipino friend, and in their Tagalog language, they have a word/concept: 'naglalambing'. Google describes it as "to behave in a loving way; to be foolishly nice or tender." But there are *nuances*--at least, so I've been told. One of them, if I recall correctly: both people on the giving and receiving end shall not be harmed. Giving your individual attention to so many people is sweet and all; it was probably much more manangeable when we were much less in number. But it is no longer 'naglalambing' when it diminishes your health, driving you to the point of exhaustion. You're a perfectionist. I get that. But always remember that you are in no position to take care of others, if you do not first take care of yourself. On the other end, when we send you a donation, draw you some fanart, or simply take some time out of our limited day to chat, it is no longer 'naglalambing' if we're neglecting our finances or some other obligations. I'm sure some people try to guilt you into doing something special for them.
