The world is scary right now. And it's ok to be scared. I'm completely terrified sometimes. But it is important not to remain in this state. Your art helps me to forget about all of this, at least for some time) I'm so glad I know you! Your art is amazing, and so is you! Let's try to remain calm, and wait for it all to end!

Hits very hard when I think that I told some time ago how happy I am about Arny's happy pictures.. it was a slightly different carefree time consider the situation now. I've been thinking for a long time what I actually want to say about it, it's very difficult and I'm so afraid of expressing myself in a misleading way because of my English skills, but... Somewhere I still try to think positively and even if I'm pretty naive and alone with my thoughts in my circle of friends, but I could even imagine that the situation will falter so much that eventually there will even be a complete rethinking in Russia and even if it's a very very small chance.. I don't know why but I have hope in it for all those people who live there, the population is so much more! And so many know that they are innocent of the actions of the government. The pictures and videos of the demonstrations in Moscow, St. Petersburg and many other cities are distributed here (e.g. in Austria where I live) and show that the Russian population does not agree. And that despite the fact that you have to risk with such severe consequences. And you don't have to be sorry! Express your feelings, that's fine.. considering you're situation it's so heartbreaking for me and seeing that picture I really have to fight the tears.. tbh..

No one asked for it. No one wanted it. But yet, here we are. And it's people like you. Artists, musicans, writers and tellers of tales who helps us all cope. Who brings that little spark of joy. It gives me hope that people care, are upset, and (those who are able) fighting back, protesting, or publicly condemning current events. Do what you can, if today that just means keeping yourself safe (both mentally and physically), do that.

Out of all creation, Despair is the most attractive. Many have followed her to their end, listening to her sweet promises of things being easy and requiring little to no effort to be with her. Out of all creation, Despair is the most deadly. She will lure you to her lair, and pluck at your wings just a little at a time. Not enough to notice. Not enough to hurt. But by the time you realize what's happening, it's too late. Out of all creation, Hope is the most fragile. But those that choose to follow her, are often led to the most wonderous marvels. Choose to follow Hope and not Despair. Despair already gets enough attention as it is. She doesn't need more.

I don't know if it helps at all, but there's a quote from Mahatma Gandhi that I like to think about when confronted with awful situations like these: “When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it–always.” This war will not last forever--no trouble ever does. You did not ask for this, but that you continue even to get up and out of bed in the morning is a statement of resolve that should not be underappreciated. To quote the Roman philosopher Seneca, "Sometimes, even to live is an act of courage." I am so, so sorry that you are having to experience this. It is an awful reality to have to wake up each morning and see... My heart goes out to you. I do not at all mean to sound like I can just magically make things better, but if there's any way we can support you, I'm sure a lot of people--myself included--would be more than happy to. You are not alone. You are never alone. Be safe, and may courage and strength be with you. I wish you all the best.

Hey Yak. I don't know you. I don't know your ambitions, what you're like to talk to, anything. All I know about you is that you're a wonderfully talented guy with a good sense of humor. Which makes this all the more heartbreaking to see. I want you to know that none of this is your fault, and if the protests in Russia are anything to go by, there's nothing you could have done to stop this madness, even before it happened. I'm sorry that you were born into this messy world full of tensions, hate, and millenia-old gripes that don't speak for you, but which you are expected to care about. Just know that whatever happens, the whole world is with you. No one wants this war. No one.
