I see a lot of work being done on your mesh in both ZBrush and Maya and I'm wondering what your preference is. What are the benefits of bringing the mesh into Maya for manipulation and then back into Zbrush for further adjustments? I currently only have ZBrush and am wondering if I can get by with just that for retopology or if the benefits of adding Maya to the process are too strong to ignore?

Zbrush doesn't have any usable retopo or UV tools. Maya is also a normal 3d app so the scaling/position of the model can be correctly set up when you bring things in and you can properly group things and set them up for a rigger or rigging it yourself.
