Some fanart of some characters I liked for a long time but haven't drawn before! This is another painting and it took me around 40~ hours to complete, phew! The last few days were definitely rough with 6-7 hour sessions to finish the piece. But I'm glad it's finally done.

The characters are from a gacha game I played when I was in High School: Puzzles and Dragons.

Ilm:

(So much detail! I took some artistic liberty on some parts of the outfit)

Ilmina:

(Yeah she's a originally a girl, but I drew her as a kemono instead! She was my direct inspiration back when I first created my dragon sona, you might be able to see a bit of resemblance?)

Because of their similar names and book theme, I see them more like a father/daughter type relationship and I think it's really cute! So I wanted to draw them in a library together as both of their themes revolve around books.

WIPS:

Thumbnail idea

Quick lineart/flats because I'll paint over it later

Rough colors/shades for the focal point of the painting

Shading on Ilm

Create rough background, clean up colors

"she's a originally a girl, but I drew her as a kemono instead!" What do u mean by this? I don't know what a kemono is in this instance. I love how it looks! Just curious.

Ah! sorry I didn't really choose the best wording here. But kemono is described as a "beast" and has been mainly used as describing anime-influenced furry. I should have specified she's originally a "kemonomimi" which is a human/human-like character with animal ears basically, haha. Thank you!
