Reason for Slowdown (and a Request for Help) (Patreon)

It occurs to me that I (as in Stoker) haven't actually updated anyone on the Patreon as to the reason why everything has been so quiet here.

I almost lost my father from a widow-maker heart attack in the middle of the night while I was at college. I still remember the fear of that prospect shaking me up through the night and affecting me for the years afterward. If I felt like that just from that experience, I don't even want to think what would happen if I had actually lost him then. My cousins were not as fortunate, for my uncle spontaneously passed away right before Christmas from a similar condition. None of them have been the same since, and I give my condolences to them as well as yourself. I am glad that your financial goal has been reached, but I know that there's emotional baggage that comes with it. However, I have faith that you will be able to come to terms with it. It's going to be alright.
