I zoomed in on the dead marine panel and I saw that there was no bullet trail signifying that there was no bullet or any type of projectile but you can see his hat. his head literally exploded from what I think is a haki wave

Personally, I think this reveal may be a good sign that the five elders may be full of it. Looking at the clouds around every character that has them, I can only think of Yamato and Luffy in which the clouds are white, both having Mythical Zoans. Everyone else has black clouds for their Awakened Zoan transformations. I am guessing that the Five Elders have Ancient Zoans.

Saturn's form is clearly a Japanese yokai called an ushi-oni or Gyuki (Bull-Ogre) which is often a spider with a bull head. (Personal note, I think "demon" sounds better than "ogre" in some cases of the word Oni) The move Zoro used to beat T-Bone was also named after the Gyuki/Bull Demon. Any case, this has to be Awakened Mythical Zoan and the teleport in the circle is interesting, but all Mythicals have extra powers. Not to mention the Five Elders' Room of Authority has magic circles on the walls, while not identical to a pentagram, were enough to catch many readers' eyes years ago.

Someone on Reddit mentioned that it's likely that the Five Elders have fruits based on Japanese Yokai, and they made a few guesses based on the shadows that were shown in the throne room

That head cannon about the fish man island drugs and luffy believing his weakness into being is something I’ve thought for a while. Gear 3 is the proof. He made himself big and thought that much power needed a downside so he got small to offset being big. But post time skip he didn’t believe he needed a weakness to offset that level of power anymore so it stopped. But now he has a drastically more powerful form and it needs something to offset it. But the idea of seeing the new fish men pirates and that being why it looks the way it does is amazing to me because the royalty of fishman island are the first ones we see with ribbons like luffy got in gear 4 and 5. They even had a dragon palace and luffy awakened gear 5 vs a dragon. Fishman island arc has been hiding a lot of secrets and a lot more are still there.
