So just to explain what David was doing at the beginning of the episode: BDs or Braindances are recorded experiences from other people. It's basically a way to record all the senses (so sight, smell, etc.) of a human being and then extract that scrolled BD. After that, other people can basically relive that recording as if they were present themselves. Also, yes, Night City is like hell on earth lmao

So the thing he was watching at the start is known as a BD, or Brain Dance. It's basically a video that you live through another person. So he was watching the psycho at the start through his eyes and experiencing what he felt

Thanks for this! The dub is fantastic for this btw and the sub has actual issues with the text on Netflix. Trigger typically kills it on dubs thankfully so you can properly enjoy all the crazy visuals they throw at you. Oh and the VA for the kid that beat up David asked him if he could do a Jojo's reference in that fight...
