Finland has a beverage can recycling system where you can return your empty cans and bottles to the store for a little bit of money - 10 cents for smallest cans and bottles, 40 cents for the biggest ones. I didn't take a picture of our several months' hoard, but I did take one of the receit. Yes, that's 105 euros.

You're not the only ones :) We have a similar refund system here and people bring in multiple huge bags of cans and bottles for refunding.

I admit they were in the apartment. Now that they're gone, every time we come home I think "wow, I can see the floor now!" We live like animals.
