It's the word!

Commentary

You might look at Susan in disbelief in this moment, BUT...

For one, she was startled. Heart pumping, full of adrenaline, people often don't act rationally.

For two, have YOU ever suddenly had wings you weren't aware of on your back?

For three, can YOU see your own back clearly without a mirror?

For four, you would TOTALLY think there was a bird on your back?

CASE CLOSED.

Tensaided holding everything together. Respect.

Good thing her left wing didn't sideswipe the ice cream.

oh hey, yeah, I forgot that most birds are actually incredibly unhygienic. This is completely in-character for Susan.

One would think that at some point she'd notice that the sensation coming through them was a sign that they were appendages she now has. That's usually how I figure these things out. Admittedly, the first time, I had a period of confusion similar to hers. (It was not the same, however, as I frequently can fly in my dreams, winged or not.)

Bold of you to assume this game-world has actually bothered to make them have sensations. :) I wonder if she can even flap them.
