Slow Time is the Rock of magic Rock Paper Scissors.

Commentary

I talked about this in an earlier commentary, but my policy is always that these commentaries are optional reads, and this "magic at no real cost" dealie and the ability to just use magic over and over indefinitely is something I want everyone on the same page on.

Also, an excuse for Susan being sassy.

To briefly recap that commentary, however, Slow Time, charge up offensive magic, boom. Alternatively just keep slowing down time so enemies move like they're in jelly.

Susan's expression in the last panel...I like it!

Adama

I'd think that ideally, charge time would be world time and not the player's slowed-down time. But I'm not familiar with the game(s) in question.

Stephen Gilberg

I'm guessing you refer to how, while the rock, paper, and scissors are supposed to be equally good choices overall, a rock wrapped in paper wouldn't be nearly as "defeated" as crushed scissors or cut paper in reality.

Otter Annason

umm, actually, narrator, iceballs are cool.

McClaw

It's called "gaming the system".

Connie Edogawa

so, aside from the increased bust that came with her magic leveling up (I'm a simple woman. I like boobs. sue me. >.>), I'm not sure what exactly it is, but I find Susan extra attractive in this storyline.

Panel 3 is a good panel. For at least two good reasons.

James C

The wavy hair? The casual confidence? The diminishing clothing? The well-toned muscles?

And the sass (or is it snark; I never was sure on the difference). Whatever it is, yeah.

Since when does Susan need an excuse to be sassy? BTW, nice exploit.

Serith

See, this is why she should focus entirely on using and leveling magic, it's just the smart thing to do.

Good Ol' Rock, Nothing Beats That!

Chordat

The best part is it's a real exploit from a real game. By far the most broken decision Lionhead made for Fable 2 was to remove the mana bar from the first game. :D

Chordat

and the fact it could cause her to BUST out of her shirt clearly has nothing to with it.

That would be balanced, sure. But Fable games are anything but. I remember my first time playing a Fable game (it was Fable II): I ended up at this arena as part of the main story. I was a dex build ("Skill Hero") but I just wasn't strong enough to take on the enemies in the numbers they were being thrown at me. I ended up struggling through until there was a round full of Werewolves. I entered that round looking like Orlando Bloom(EDIT: 0 magic XP), and exited looking like I was holding the Power Infinity Stone. (as stated in a previous commentary, in the original game you developed "magic glowing tattoos" as your magical abilities increased). For the rest of the game I insisted on using my cosmic omnipotence only when guns just weren't cutting it that day.

I always like busty Susan :D

Stephen Gilberg

Hey, wait, this strip is misnumbered.

Hey Dan, you might want to rename this post. It should be Parable 09.
