Is it weird that this one bothers me? Rhoda had a girlfriend. If Catalina was the it would be fine because the assumption would be she was okay with it, but this feels like Rhoda is cheating.

It's non-canon, they're teenagers... and Rhoda wouldn't have a mind-altering spell that does that. (Panic and feeling small, sure, but probably not this.) Now... the theatre, the previews, or the movie? Or someone at the movie making out with their sweetie and using magic to enhance that but not aware their magic affects an area, because they're always distracted when they use it, and they don't happen to be friends with a seer, or if they even have a book, might have misread the text.

Good point. I did notice they were the same color, but seeing as Lucy's outfit appears to have not changed, I was going with that theory.
