I decided I wanted to see the result of Sarah and Nanase winding up with matching, sort of merged palettes.

Turns out Yellow + Red = Orange! Who knew?

To get these colors, I made a gradient between each of their colors, getting (approximately) the middle color, and then finding the closest match in my personal custom color palettes. I made an executive decision to increase the color saturation of their eyes, but beyond that, that's what I stuck to.

Personally I like the color match version best

I'd probably favor it in the actual story if not for the confusion that would result o_o

You need to change Nanase's text in panel 2.

Kitsune

True but could be handled with colored text or the like to show whose talking

The confusion is part of the charm! Plus, body language, and yeah, colored dialogue bubbles would work great for that.

Just think about it this way, if you had gone for color match version, you could have gone for the twist ending that they were in the wrong bodies, as revealed in the very last panel of the arc. ;)

Just noticed that there's a sliver of white between Sarah's right hip and arm in panel two. It shows up in every version of the strip except possibly the non-HD gray-scale version.

It's fascinating how easy it is to tell who is who with only body language and dialogue.

It's possible my brother knew about that color-blending magic, back in the day. On the other hand, he's red-green color blind, so it's hard to say. I recall he at least said some words that, in light of your recent discovery, suggest that he may have had something of a clue about it, at least. Or maybe it was just more of his random babbling.
