Hrm. Given that the last puzzle was Sarah doing the mental weightlifting and Nanase lifting the actual weights, perhaps Sarah's lack of focus is a way for the dungeon to ensure Nanase has to deal with the next one? Meaning that it can only be traversed by two people who contribute equally?

Seems like it. I think if Sarah's "money high" is revealed to actually be the next transform sneaked in, that would be an interesting twist.
