My main goal with the first version was a background that worked for the rental shop without clashing with the uniforms or foreground characters. I settled on a lower saturation blue of a slightly different hue for the background to give the impression of it going with the uniforms without blending too much with them.

The second version is my experimenting with using existing palettes in different situations, and seeing how they'd look with the background colors I chose. Tensaided's been given Nanase Craft's palette, and all but Susan's skin uses colors from Plant Grace's color palette from the previous sketchbook.

they both look great, and somehow have made me fall even more in consensual like with susan.

I like the second one just because it feels like the blue shirt blends into the blue background too much.

Shouldn't her uniform shirt also be blue in the first one?

In the spirit of changing, I suggest that "New Releases" become "Neural Eases."

At first glance I thought the pink and blue one was better, but then I started reading the text and somehow the green and yellow version was suddenly nicer. IDK, wired.

the second one, the letters are crisper and I can read them better

the second one reminds me of Shortpacked :) both the colours, and the dialogue.

Agree, second palette’s clothing & wall colors look just like Shortpacked. I like the rest of the colors on the second one, but prefer the first’s wall and clothing choices.

Brains are weird, even though I know the color of the background is the same for both, when I look at them my brain is convinced the second one’s background has a green tint to it, I’m assuming because of all the green in the foreground.
