I think it's the contrast. She already looks a lot like Xena, so getting the chance to see her as a more petite magical girl is appealing.

Except you can vote for more than one, so it's not like one of the muscular options is taking votes away from the other. I think the problem is that muscular women are not nearly as popular as "cute" girls (either in general or in the crowd voting here). It's too bad, really; I was hoping for one of the muscular options myself.

It's possible for muscular women to also be cute. Personally, I voted for the two options that don't involve clothing tearing. As a youngest child in a relatively poor family who grew up to be the largest child, I've had more than enough clothing tearing for one lifetime. It's particularly distressing when it's in public...

Weird, even in my adult life sooner or later every pair of pants ends up tearing, and that has yet to stop me from voting for every single clothes tearing option that comes up. Granted, something like 90% of those tears are where nobody but me knows they're there without me pulling, like, ballet poses.
