There's a lot of ways a story like this could have fun with various default settings, but I figure there'll be enough antics both in forms and behavior with the cards that we'd keep them normally shaped and in-character without card effects on them.

Oh, the waving figures are a NICE touch. Much better than figures that just stand like statues.

Ha, I just noticed the "deflate" as Hanma loses her confident manner.

That “deflate” in panel one is such an interesting indicator of Hanma’s emotional state. I wonder if her form reflects her emotions more generally?

I think most immortals are emotionally morphic. Pandora does the same thing. We haven't seen the same thing from the other ones we've seen a lot of (Jerry, Those Two Guys, etc.), but that could simply be because Pandora and Hanma are more emotionally flighty than the others.

Do people needing playtesters usually interact with their playtesters so closly, or should they just watch? She's an immortal so she could watch without being visible.

designers will interact during first revisions to explain or be arbiters, but later in the process you do want to be 'invisible' to make sure there's not something weird that you've gotten used to explaining. That aside Hanma's not that smart/by the book as a game maker.

I wouldn't put it in those words, but I agree with the sentiment. I'm really liking these default outfits, and Susan's position leads to some very nice poses.
