Mario RPG Standee - VS Exor 🗡 (Patreon)

Here's a look at a new item I've been meaning to make for a while! A new standee based on Mario RPG! 

I'll have this available next time the shop is open (March or April) and at Anime Expo this summer.

It took a while to figure out exactly how I wanted to do this one. First I had to pick what I thought was the most iconic fight in the game, then I had to figure out how I wanted to do the background piece. Originally I wanted to have two backing pieces to make it like an open box, but I think that would just be too hard to do without a gap in the corner. I also wanted to have a gimmick where you could swap the party members, but that would be too many pieces. Or flip the party around and have Peach and Bowser on the back, but the silhouettes wouldn't match at all.

You'll have to display it at the right angle, but I think this worked pretty well! The gimmick I went with is that you can flip Exor around. He was just hit with a Geno-Whirl, haha. Scroll through the images to see some concept sketches too.

Anyway, I hope you all like this! Because I really wanna make more of them. Next I would probably draw the Smithy and Culex fights. I'm also planning to make another Metal Gear Solid standee, this time based on MGS3. Plus some more Mario RPG stickers. Look forward to that!
