Hey! I wanted to share some rough drafts for some new designs that I'm working on.

Anime Expo is coming up, and I realized I have an abundance of stickers, charms, and standees, but what I could really use are some new prints! So that's my focus for right now.

I'm aiming to make about 4 new prints, including 2 new One Piece pinups (to match the Nami and Robin prints), A Spider-Man animated poster, and a Metal Gear Solid 1 poster. I've got a bunch of other designs sketched too, but these are the 4 that I feel like working on the most at the moment. That could change later.

You can get a look at my current process: I do a very rough sketch to get the general idea, then I use clip studio's 3D modeler to work out the poses. Then I flatten them, adjust the proportions some more, and begin the final rough sketch with the proper character proportions.

I've also started working on a Yamato standee and some more Sonic stickers. I've actually been meaning to make more of these classic-style sonic stickers for a long time now. I don't think I'll print all of them right away though. Maybe for now, I'll just finish up Tails, Knuckles, Eggman, and Shadow.

I also have some other secret work that needs to get done this month. That's gonna be my main focus, but I'll try and get all of these done before mid-June so I can have them printed for Anime Expo. They'll all wind up in the online store after AX.

The new Sonic stickers look fun. Maybe once you've got a bunch of them done you might consider a "running group" poster like your Smash poster, if you haven't been already? I'd be interested.

I had that thought, and it's a possibility! I'd probably wanna draw all of the major friends+foes, so that'd take a long while.

Does it take a while to learn how to use the 3D modeler? I've never tried using it before

It depends on how fast you can learn new tools and menus. Clip studio always has a million menus for its tools, and you've just gotta mess around with everything to find out what it does. I think the bigger learning curve is figuring out how to make the models work with your personal drawing style. Like directly tracing them isn't gonna look good, so you've gotta figure out your own way of using them.
