yeah the mana transfer scene was...different, in the original visual novel...it WAS an eroge afterall, lol. So when they censored it for wider release the scene got a bit...more awkward.

What assassin meant was... long ago there was a master swordsman named Miyamoto Musashi, and in his legends and stories, there was another swordsman attributed to be his greatest rival, Sasaki Kojiro, who musashi met on a small island one day and killed. One of the issues with having a rival swordsman back then was most legit sword duels were to the death, so kinda hard to build a rivalry when you just kill all your potential rivals the first time you meet. But now a days, while we are sure musashi was a real person, it is believed that Sasaki Kojiro never actually existed, and the fight on the island probably never happened. so Sasaki Kojiro is just a story. thus when Caster summoned him, she just summoned a random swordsman who could perform the swordsmanship attributed to the man who never existed. What you are remembering from Zero is the Zero's assassin was an entire assassin clan who all shared the same name.
