You're not limited by the flat coloring and screentones Manga is limited by. I'd say her facial details should indeed be white lines, imo,either way. Her skin doesn't need to be pure black. Lots of interesting near blacks you can pick from that can still shade.

Maybe her flushed/blush could be the orangish red of a hot coal? It could be used strategically on sexy parts, like that Thermal Bunny concept you had from last year.
