Hey guys! So, I'm kinda stealing a family member's PC to write this because things took a sour turn a day and a half ago...

Remember how I kept complaining for a year or so that my PC was a fucking toaster with a keyboard attached? Well... Seems the thing didn't take a liking to that description, because it finally gave out on me. My PC won't boot anymore. The only thing working is the power source, but the core and graphics card just went dead for good this time... Nothing to be done about it, they're both just far gone.

Now... Here comes the important part...

At first I was considering going out to replace the components... But after the last animation I published prooved to be in developement hell because of how outdated my whole gear was, I finally decided to break the piggy-bank and crank it up to something worth the time. I'm still checking prices for all the new stuff (I'm changing everything save for the HD, where all my projects lie. I can't lose that.), but it's all really "cutting edge" stuff. I7 8700k core, 1070 graphics card, SSD drive for system booting, 32 DDR4 RAM... You know, TRULY beefy stuff.

With this comes both positive and negative consequences, of course. In the good side of things, I should be able to work much, much faster in animation projects (those 24 seconds of Alicia's animation took me over 21 hours of continuous, non-stop rendering... That's just stupidly slow). It will allow me to work at the level I want to work without having to worry about something giving out again, keep my projects on the high performance end, all that good stuff... However, of course, doing this anhiliated my savings...

I won't go into specifics, but let's just say doing this, while it didn't COMPLETELY destroy every single penny I got to my name, really took a fucked up swing with an axe to my neck. The economic details of my country (Argentina) are something I'm gonna spare you all (although if you are interested, feel free to read on it... Even Forbes just dropped the incredibly encouraging title "It may be time to get out of Argentina" (so reassurring...)), but the prices for tech stuff here are just... Bizzarre (and importing the stuff won't help either due to tarifs on these things).

Luckily, this lovely Patreon here has been looking up a bit in the last couple months (and hopefuly it will get better now that a new VN project is on the works... I got only you all to thank for that, you awesome MFs!), but even then the difference is way over what I can afford without reeling from the hit quite a bit... But I don't know... I'm of the philosophy that you "have to invest money to make money", so I really hope I'm not shooting myself in the foot here with this big change...

Anywho, I just wanted to let you all know about this because I'm not taking a break and I'm not putting anything on voluntary pause. I'm just waiting for the components to be bought and assembled (weekend, you know?), and after that it's going to take me just a little bit more to get the whole thing up and running... I'm even gonna have to re-calibrate my SAI-PS-Tablet configurations... Hate that shit.

In any case. Not dead, just gonna take me two or three days to resurrect, and then we can proceed like this never happened

Like Jeebus, you know?

Fate out!!
