Well here we go! Things are starting to actually take a more definite form.

Since I've said I was going to post some steps on the progress from sketch to full video (yes, I'm planning to make this scene animated), I might as well explain a bit what I've got in mind for this one.

As you may be able to tell, the whole linearting/basic paintjob is already done (to an extent) at this point. This is actually the most complicated (or dare I say... Erratic) part of my drawing process, because it is here where I decide what the main source of light is (in this case, I ended opting for frontal, ambience light, which will make the future shading process a bit peculiar, since I'll have to work backwards, erasing shadows from the contours instead of adding them from the inside-out), where I play with colours until a main pallete settles to my eyes (I have a basic idea of what I want, but most of the details are always improvised on the spot), etc.

This one will also be quite more time intensive, considering I'm working with a concrete, pretty defined background, which I'll admit is something I still need some more time working on (although to be fair, I personally think I'm getting better at), and since the image, even if you can't tell from this caption, is actually divided in layers to facilitate animation once I'm done drawing, I've got to work on many different levels (which... When expanded on a list may give you a little glimpse into what hell looks like) instead of a single, uniform canvas... And I'm working with a 16:9 ratio in order to make the future animation fullscreen, which is certainly NOT a proportion I'm used to, considering most of my work could fall into the more vertically-oriented pin-up style...

In any case, all difficulties aside, I'm actually enjoying myself with this one. It presents a bunch of challenges I'm not all that used to deal with, so it actually is quite the welcomed change of pace, as well as an occassion for personal growth.

By the by, the actual animation process is something I most likely won't share here. Not because I don't want to, but because it wouldn't make much sense for anyone not familiarized at least barely with After Effects, and even then, I plan to test a couple fluid techniques I'm not even sure how to work with myself yet (I want to make the scene rainy. You know, a storm, lots of downpour on the glass, all that stuff), and EVEN even then, rendering half-made videos would just look awkward xD

In any case, hope you enjoy how things are starting to look up as much as I do :D

Fate out!!

Bellisima! Suerte!

Looks good, and its interesting to see your process at work.
