As you are probably aware, many skins and assets that are available for VAM are commercial products and cannot be redistributed.  This means that patreon creators who are not graphic artists must rely on the community to skin their own models in VAM.

For now, think of my models as your own personal blank canvas.

I am experimenting with a few different methods for creating skins, and have posted a helpful tutorial here:  https://www.reddit.com/r/VAMscenes/comments/cx2ltw/skin_builder_pro_dazvam_tutorial/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x

Special note:  Skins created with Skin Builder cannot be shared or re-distributed.  They are for your personal use only.

A model or morph can take on an entirely different look depending on what skin texture is used.  I encourage you to experiment!  You likely already have several skins lying around if you've been downloading works from other creators.

If you're unsure how to apply skins in VAM, here is a simple tutorial:

1. Load your model in VAM.  If you have been using my VAC files, you can load the base model and find morphs for all of my models in the Morphs tab under "AshAuryn"

2. In edit mode, select person atom - control, or click the control icon floating under your model

3. Go to the skin select tab.  Select the Custom skin.

4. Go to the skin textures tab. Under Diffuse - Face, click and browse to the face texture that you would like to use.

5. Do the same for the torso, limbs, and gens. If you do not have a gens texture, just use the torso texture again - but be aware there will be a black space near the butt hole since the gens texture is missing.

6. Some textures are specifically decals; tattoos, makeup, and freckles, for example. If a texture is specifically a decal, it goes in the Decal section of the skin textures tab.
