I think it would be a really good idea if when you get a new map to look up the full map of that area. After doing that it will help you not have to backtrack as often. You can also make markers at areas you cannot reach yet. Such as needing double jump or something to get to that specific area. That way when you do get that power up you can know exactly where you were stuck and continue to progress. Just a thought
