Hey folks, it's Kuso! Back with some fresh dev updates for you all.

Today's chat revolves around a few characters characters who've transitioned from mere sketches to fully-animated in-game personas.

JiYeon

One who needs no introduction is Jiyeon, one of the first adversaries we showcased during the early phases.

Now, about Jiyeon's weaponry – yup, we did a little swap dance there. We were initially drawn to the allure of the bow, but upon closer inspection, Jiyeon's crossbow felt... well, more "Jiyeon". It's what we, and likely many of you, were used to picturing her with, paired with her signature tablet.

A quick dive into the tech side: as the solo animator (that's me, Kuso), I can attest bows can be a rather tricky to animate. Those stretching strings combined with the spinning thingies on modern bows? Not the easiest. Hence, the crossbow became the animator's (again, me) best friend. It ensures Jiyeon's movements stay crisp and helps me animate more efficiently. Game development is an unpredictable journey but rest assured, every turn we take aims (pun intended lmao) to amp up the game's cool factor for you all.

This change also helps us bring back the ipad bible Jiyeon carried around in her concept art. Currently she is a debuffer, calling upon spells (actually just scripts) to debuff her enemies.

Raven

Next up, you might remember Prioress Ravenna, or "Raven" in a recent dev diary. Currently, we're mulling over renaming their church faction from "Ordo Sicarii" to "Veritas Inquisitorum". Although Raven holds a high rank in the church's military arm, her relaxed demeanor contrasts sharply with Jiyeon's serious nature. It speaks volumes about her combat skills, enabling her rise through the ranks despite her playful attitude.

Kormi

Then there's our catgirl Kormi (Szentgyörgyi Szeretlek). Hailing from Hungary's special forces as a drone operator, Kormi couples her innate craftsmanship with a neurotic yet sociable nature. Recognizable by her deep black hair and striking red eyes, she occasionally reveals a slight stutter. Her trusted drone, prepped for both healing and destruction, is always within reach. Skilled with the Scorpion CZ and AK weapons, her jittery, feline-like behavior contrasts with her pivotal role as the team's rock-solid supporter. Through healing, buffs, debuffs, and strategical onslaughts, Kormi ensures the squad's continued success. Are her cat ears real? Are they mechanical in nature? Surgical augmentations perhaps? Who knows! Does it really matter?

???

Last but not least, we've got a mysterious, masked individual. Theories about her origins are plenty. Eri, for one, is convinced she's extraterrestrial! She roams with a massive case and defends herself using sharp knives and a dependable submachine gun.

That's all for now. If you have any more questions for us, we're very active on our discord, discord.gg/uragoner. We're working very hard to get the demo out, so thanks for sticking with us on this journey! Stay tuned for more updates. 🎮🚀
