URAGONER Updates (Patreon)

Hey everyone! We have a tweet with a video showing what's coming up for URAGONER that we would love for you to see. We have a couple of changes to our plans for the URAGONER demo that we think are very exciting!

As you may know we split up development of the game into three parts so we can finish the game as a 2 person team without burning out, firstly focusing on the story system/VN aspects, then the battle aspects and then finally the base building aspects. After some testing we decided that story elements without some battle gameplay didn't really reflect the experience we wanted people to have the first time they played URAGONER, it didn't feel right that peoples lasting impressions may be that this is a story only game. So with some deliberation we decided to go ahead and sneak in the battle system into the prologue.

What helped the decision to sneak the battle system in was we had the opportunity to work on the vtuber event platform teased in the video. It really helped us refine the 3D aspects of our battle system and the multi target tracking camera system we implemented was invaluable to getting the battle system up and running in time for the prologue (something I planned to solve much later), dynamic attacking and defending camera shots are solved (as well as being able to stack one side of the field)!

Because we are including the battle system and a fleshed out prologue chapter of story we are retitling the demo from URAGONER Lillie to URAGONER Prologue to reflect that the story is not focused on just Lillie now! 

We'll have a more in depth look at the battle system after a little more polish! We're excited to finally share!

Finally we will also be releasing a SFW edition, same gameplay and story but the less wholesome scenes updated with handholding so it can be streamed, play it at work (app store in the future?) and show your mom.

You peeps in our discord thought the handholding was a joke! Ha!
