In between drawing, I’ve been researching sculpture and techniques used by the masters over at SideShow. I right now working on a resin statue of Little Lorna hitchhiking in her traditional spaghetti tank, cut off Jean shorts and flip flops. WIP coming soon! This model will be quite large (about 12”) so it’s not going to be cheap but I hope there’s some interest out there!

Sounds cool!

Have you given any thought to a 3d printer. Don't know much about them myself, but the models I've seen are pretty cool.

I have! I was looking at the Phrozen8K. It may be an option if I have trouble sculpting and casting. Definitely plan B. If I can do up some turn arounds and get someone on Fiverr to do the model, it would be a lot quicker.

Hell yes

Good luck, but although other sites have had talkers about OC maquettes, none have gained enough interest ... and 12" seems BIG. Half or a third the size might be more possible.

I totally get you and with my track record… well, let’s keep our fingers crossed! The size is more because it’s easier to sculpt. Imagine trying to sculpt nipple on an 8” figurine! This is more of a sculpture. I may just plater cast it so it looks like art.

The big problem that I've seen with artists is that there is a big difference between what they like and want, and what the public is willing to pay for. You know my involvement with several artists, and my mother was a classically trained multi disciplined artist. Concentrate on what pays the bills ... new ideas aren't going to sell without promotion. You aren't going to sell Lorna figurines until she's featured in a Lucasfilm production. Reality bites.

Thanks for the honesty! I’ll draw comics in the morning and sculpt at night. I rarely draw at night so this may be a good routine to keep the creative juices flowing. I also find that sculpting helps me as an artist. Rather then visualizing anatomy, pose, volume and flow, it seems more cemented when I have sculpted it. My faces were pretty poor until I started sculpting so hopefully this turns to some better art as well!

If your left arm is in constant pain then take it slow and heal first.

Reminds me of her story of the weekend long gangbang, where she ended up hitchhiking with all her money overflowing her Daisy Dukes.
