My private school didn't have a dress code but I would have LOVED it if it did!

I love having the time to put more work into these drawings. I try and hit the key moments so even without the dialogue you can get the jist of the plot.

Absolutely agree on the picture conveying the message. I find that I don't have the time to add the text to my own sets, to the pics have to be effusive enough to convey the plot alone. Great work on these shots - you've def succeeded!

I'm loving this sort of "illustrated short story" approach. You've always done great work with the journal entries this way, and it feels already like you're tapping into potential for much richer stories. Lorna's helpless gaze at her departing father in the last one, the way the screams resonated. The traditional format sacrifices so much of that non-visual detail. This is the best of both worlds!

Well, I’m glad people are patient enough to read through the mountain of text to link the pictures together into a story. These are fun to write and try and think of the proper shots that will amplify the story (a and maybe a little easier on the brain as They don’t have to visualize as much).

The diaries really helped me break the story into what needs to be said and what needs to be drawn (and some, both!). I really love drawing full body expressions and wild reactions. Reading up on the Disney’s method, you can stretch and contort things like limbs and faces unrealistically to get a hyper expression.

Really Fun! WoW!
