Time has not been kind to this ancient tomb and just like the Sistine Chapel it is in need of a restoration (I'm so old that I remember the restoration of the Sistine Chapel in the late 90's that infuriated so many fundamentalistic idiots).

I have tried many times to print this comic and even after replacing my printer with a more modern one, it was far too dark!

I just bought a texture pack that could possibly remedy this allowing some of the detail to come through without removing the texture.  I'm going to have to go through all 40ish pages and do the restoration process but I think its worth it!

Have you tried to raise the contrast?

The problem is three fold Cintiq is not color calibrated, I’m printing RGB rather then CMYK and the texture mask I’m using is really poor. Hopefully I can solve my printing issue just with CMYK and using a better texture map.

Yah, I agree with that, I’m paying $60 a month to Adobe for programs I haven’t used in at least twice that

Don’t forget that there’s going to be limitations to what a printer can do, as well as having to adjust your contrast & color for different printers. What I would get from my normal lab was always going to be different from the bigger lab at the same company

When Adobe went to the subscription model I moved to Serif’s Affinity line. A bit of a learning curve but just as good (sometimes better) and a flat reasonable purchase price. I also use Clip Stidio Paint exclusively for drawing.

I wish I had the money and the motivation to try out other options but I know there’s tricks even on photoshop that I’ll never be aware of much less be able to use right

Amazing as always!
