My week off! (Patreon)

Hi everyone!  Thanks for bearing with me while I take a week off.  Well, not really because I'm just taking a week off from drawing my projects here.

My brother got me hooked on watching X-Men - Animated series.  The animation is HORRIBLE but the art is quite good and the stories classical Chris Claremont from the 90s.  I loved reading the X-men when I was younger and loved reliving the stories again.

It got me reading comics again and I started reading a lot of X-men comics and I bumped into Magik and remember even when I was a young girl thinking how "odd" Colossus' relationship was with his little sister.

I loved each panel they were both in because Illyana is always drawn as a skinny tiny girl and Peter is HUGE!  I love the size difference between them and I was so anxious to write these two in a story.

I know Magik is NOT a very common character at all but I tried to write it in a way that you can get some back story on her (Chris Claremont style).

So one of the reasons I'm doing this also is because I'm starting to feel like I'm getting into an artistic rutt and need to stretch my skills a little.  This comic enables me to try and refine my clean pencils (almost to the point of finished linework) story telling and drawing dudes with muscles!  Yum!  All of my characters in Little Lorna comics (apart from Luke) are overweight middle aged men and I'm getting a little sick of drawing these.  Although I find the pairing of a tiny girl and older men fun to draw and write, I really love huge muscle guys with tiny girls as well.

It almost feels like "Doves Of Peril" 2.0.  Just another crack at building out a developed story art and situations to ease my restless art.
