I'm putting this together to set out what everyone can look forward to in the future. It's my sit down by the fire and chat about where things are going in the respective tiers. Sometimes it's good to do this for my own sake as it helps me organize all the stuff going on in my head.

The above pic is a little Trixie something that'll be finished in a few days.

Current Priority - As of writing I'm prioritizing working on the comic pages of "The Real Thing" for the comic rewards update on the 5th of September. Lynne's unacceptable behavior requires most of my creative attention, right now.

$1 Basic Tier - Other than the above picture being completed, you can look forward to me trying to include more sketches and monochrome work of characters that probably won't be a part of projects until next year. That's kind of how things turn out. I want to practice men more. I feel they're still an area of weakness for my ability to depict. But women are just so... mm. I want to do more large form finished pictures with backgrounds, or at least plants, like the line art above. Not much else to cover.

$6 Comic Tier

Brooke Goes To College - The last several pages of part 3 are incoming, and I'm going to try to end it out before September is over. I'm still refining the story of the next part, and getting some of the new characters down, so there'll be a delay before I start part 4. But I can tell you it does feature new characters Maya and Polly, old characters Francis, Alicia, and Professor Anders, Cathy, and of course Brooke. It also heavily delves into Bruce the hyena, as a proper male main. In fact he gets a lot of development in part 4, so look for that later this year and into next year.

Main Adult Comics - "The Real Thing" is something I'm hoping to wrap up in September, and offer as a complete comic in the October 5th update. As for what's next, there's actually a ton of things on the table. The steering committee is going to have a LOT to consider for upcoming projects to do next, and they often surprise me in how they vote, so I can't say what they're likely to pick.

Possible Extras - Depending on how voting goes in the steering committee, I may relegate some lesser stories I'll never have time to do otherwise, as "Brooke Goes To College" style shorts in between part 3 and 4. Some have critical levels of character development which will have to be covered one way or another, even if the project isn't picked as a main adult comic. I'll see what kind of format I can get away with, if I can just do pictures alone. People tend to not like the black and white pages as much as color, but they really do streamline the process and allow me to produce more story material, where otherwise I just wouldn't have the time.

$12 Steering Committee - Sometime this month (August) will be a poll for the next adult comic project. It'll be substantial. In fact, there may be runoffs if things are close enough. Right now, because of past projects, character development, and all that, there's a lot to cover for the future. You're going to have a say in which one of these gets the main adult comic project. I don't recall ever having this many ideas for future projects, at once, so it should be pretty interesting. Some cover new characters, and some cover some very old classics. Some are serious, some are just more purely entertaining.

There's always a sense I have of how polls will go, but somehow, you always surprise me. However, the upcoming one features projects with brand new characters, like Billie, Tina (the cat with her mouse servants from Lumpkinville), and Francesca. There are more projects featuring 2nd tier older characters, like Mary and Audrey, and Francis and Alicia. Then there's even one idea in particular that primes Bruce for major character development - a former sidekick character propelled into the spotlight.

But if I have a sense of how it will go, they'll probably lose out to the projects that feature old school heavyweight characters that seem to always prove popular. I have project ideas involving Trixie, Red, and even Preg-Beth.

When I do the polls, I'll try to estimate which ones are quick and which ones are probably half-year long projects with 30+ page counts.

Oh, and I'm still going through all your old "Ask" questions as I have time.

-------------------------

This has just been me touching base with all of you. Thank you so much for your support. None of this, especially at this volume, would be possible if I couldn't do this full time. And that's all because of you.

Thank you so much!

It's my pleasure to help Jay. For some years I have been supporting you; even during the dark days of this COVID-19 that is still around the world, and always, while I can, we will be 👍💪

Hell yea! Can't wait, love your work and apreciate how hard you pump these comic pages and sketches out. Alot of new faces popping up it seems, so excited for possible comics involving them. Great to hear the steering committee is going to be getting there hands "dirty" and deciding future plans!!

"I want to do more large form finished pictures with backgrounds, or at least plants, like the line art above." I can tell you're doing great with plants as the palm fronds in the sketch above indicate.

Silvador

"Lynne's unacceptable behaviour" on the contrary. I find Lynne's behaviour very acceptable ;P

Jay, your work is just remarkable. It always makes my day to see a patreon from you. I've never been happier to support an artist on this platform. If I ever hit the lotto, you've got yourself a benefactor for life.

Thanks for the comprehensive update! It’s really gratifying to see a talented artist be able to practice their craft full-time. honestly, being able to do this is probably one of the better benefits of the Internet

And wasn't there a Penelopy idea you'd talked about a while back?
