It turns out that my fears were unfounded, and due to Patreon's poor, unclarified wording in their usage guidelines. Another creator asked them directly, and their answer is contained here: http://norasuko-art.tumblr.com/post/105922633201/hello-everyone-ive-received-multiple-e-mails You can thank patron Temrin for making this clarification known to me. It makes sense. I always figured the guideline was to prevent Patreon from becoming a paywall or all kinds of amateur home-made porn and camwhores, which can quickly cause the site to decay into endlessly repeating porn trash (like most of Tumblr). So, their prohibition pertains to photographic, not rendered material. Therefor, nothing around here will change, after all. Sorry for any confusion.

Norasuko's Art Corner

Hello, everyone! I've received multiple e-mails and messages about this, so I took the time to contact Patreon about the state of hentai and adult artists on the site with the new guidelines they added on the 21th.

Well, this is good to know! Y'all can turn off that siren now.

Well if it's broad and general i guess it would be easier to enforce. It's good that they haven't gone completely mental and realized there's a big difference between drawn pornography and real pornography.

Awesome. The method you laid out in your last announcement sounded like a pain in the butt on your end. Glad you don't have to change anything.

Thanks for doing the Due Diligence on this Fisk, I'll pass along your findings to other creators.

Speaking of hosting though, will you be mirroring any of your stuff here elsewhere in the future? I'm already finding it a bit hard to browse your older uploads on patreon. As of right now your creations feed isn't too bad to scroll through, but I can imagine that six months down the road it'll be difficult to find the earlier sketchs and pics you've posted.

Hm, not a bad thought. I've had plans to compile some of the sequential sketches into a project of their own for offering through the catalog. Other than that, I can't account for the way Patreon decides to archive things.

That would definitely help. I saw the new colored Persia picture and wanted to look at the earlier sketches in that series, and had to scroll down a bit to find them. It's too bad Patreon doesn't use a tags or gallery system for easy sorting and browsing.
