Hello all,

So in short Patreon decided to put a sales tax on some pledges on the 1st of July, it will be small amount added, I will not be losing money from my pledges, it will be added once you will be billed.

As I am from EU and I am supporting a couple of creators here, the amount is small and I've been used to it since the beginning, I definitely know that this is applicable in some US states as well when you are purchasing goods, so it should be similar! So the changes will be barely noticeable!

Although I understand that for some this might not be an option, especially with the current situation that is going on in the world...

For more information please check this article that patreon created:

 https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043055071-New-Sales-Tax-Requirements-on-Patreon

also if you have any questions please direct them to patreon help desk, as they will be able to explain more on the matter:

 https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=70716

Lastly, I will be reviewing my 1$ tier, to prevent that tier from adding too much tax(patreon will be checking our tiers as well to determine what tax should be added and if necessary will be communicating with creators to double check) and because I was thinking of reworking that tier for a while, lately I was not in the mood to draw SFW art and could not make myself even think of anything to draw for that tier...so I will be reworking it to be a "tip jar pledge" with some small perks to it.

I will try to keep you all updated if patreon will decide to change anything...

Also I am unhappy that patreon is making creators do this beforehand, instead of doing it themselves and sending out a proper warning/info email about this. :/
