New Celebrity System Update (Coming Soon!) (Patreon)

Hello!

I wanted to share information about a big update coming to one of my favorite mods and I normally don't share an update post about a mod that already has an update but yes it's a big update. The original post of the Celebrity System can be found here when the time comes for an update.

New Pie Menu

See the screenshot above in the image to see how it looks. This will only appear for Sims who are celebrities.

A Celebrity System pie menu is one of the new features. You'll find new interactions here that you can see below and this is where Sims can now Confess or Dispel Rumors to other Sims.

The interactions above will always be in the pie menu. You may see some other ones like I said Confess or Dispel Rumors, Bash the Judge, Complain about Losing Slander Case, Complain about Slander Case, Brag about Winning Slander Case depending on the outcome of your Slander Lawsuits.

Pay off Paparazzi

This is a new feature allowing Sims to attempt to Pay off the Paparazzi. There is no cost unlike Sue for Slander. You will visit the rabbithole and then come out with a successful or failed attempt. If it is successful, you will pay the paparazzi 2500 - 5000 Simoleons and any buff you have regarding this system is removed.

Here is the accepted notification above. There is also a buff that Sims get for 24 hours and while you have that buff you can not be publicly disgraced.

But you could also lose leading to an angry buff for 24 hours and this notification:

It's a 50/50 chance if they accept your deal. So good luck!

Sue for Slander

I updated the sue for slander outcome and if a Sim wins their case against the paparazzi you will no longer have the buff. Here is an example: If your Sim is disgraced for threatening the paparazzi, you get a buff for 2 days about being publicly disgraced. If you sue for slander and win the slander lawsuit, the buff disappears. In the Sims 3, if Sims won their case the moodlet would disappear. Also Sims will now get text messages if they've lost their case from the paparazzi, if they win their case or the case is thrown a friend or family member will send them a text message.

More ways to be in the Spotlight, Respected, Disgraced

I've added more actions for Sims to get attention from the paparazzi. With each new game add-on an idea popped in my head to include in this mod. Some of the new actions include Sims trying to Break into someone's home, rummaging through trashcans outdoors, being spotted at the festival or finchwich fairs, win a horse competition, hosting a charity benefit party, blackmailing a sim.

I might add some more before the release! Any ideas, I'll read some below! Speaking of the release date since I am sure you are interested, ummmmmm not sure. I go on a cruise next Tuesday until Saturday, so I'll most likely get this new version updated before Tuesday!
