Firefighter Career

Required Game Pack: Get To Work and Strangerville

Other Requirements: Venue Changes and XML Injector 

Recommended: Fire Station Lot Trait 

Helpful Tip: This career is a remake of The Sims 3 Career, as you know I have a rabbithole remake as well but those two will not conflict if you use them together. 

Please note mod conflicts: You can not have any other mods that impact venue lists or the lot extender mod. The only venue list that works with this mod is Basemental's venue list. He added my venue lists to his mod.

Rewards

When your Sim is promoted to the Fire Chief level, you will get a 5000 Simoleon promotion. 

Instructions

Place a Fire Station venue in your game and then make sure you list it as a "Fire Station". The Fire Station must have a front desk and treadmills. 

Join the Firefighter Career

Then your Sim will be promoted to go to work 

You will spend 2 active days at the Fire Station getting to know the Firefighter Assistant and other firefighter. I know they aren't showing up in the co-workers menu but that is something I am looking into.

Then once your Sim is promoted to Soot Stripper, you will begin the process of fighting fires all the way up to the Assistant Fire Chief career level. When you are notified of a fire, you will get a pop up.

You will select OK and then click the front desk. You will see the option to "Travel to lot on fire" and then you will travel to the new lot.

You will be prompted again to confirm your travel

If you decide not to travel, you will get this notification

When you get to the lot, you will be prompted to put out the fire. Some fires are invisible, some are seen and some take time to appear. I believe other firefighters will show up with you on the lot, and may put out fires. You need to get to the fire before them or you won't get credit for putting out the fire and this means you will return to the fire station with no fires extinguished and it could impact your job performance. 

Once your Sim has finished at the lot, click on your Sim and select "Return to fire station"

When you reach the Assistant Fire Chief and Fire Chief levels you will no longer fight fires, but play a key role in the fire station by checking up on firefighters, sending reports to the city hall and planning fire fighting strategies. You will also get a new career outfit.

University

Sims with a degree in Biology or Psychology will jump to the Fire Safety Instructor level.

I don’t know what I did wrong. I did download the venue list link at the top of the post, and I downloaded the career mod at the bottom of this post. Just to test out the mod; I got a random Fire Dep. (not modded) from the gallery, now I do see the (Firefighter career) but I am looking for the (venue type) but I cannot find “fire department” or anything like that in the venue list, would you happen to be able to offer some direction. I would appreciate it thank you😊

You must select Fire Station under the venues list. You have to go into build/boy mode and place a fire department.

i think you have to download a fire department and make it a fire department with the venue list

Did you download venue changes? It's at the top, there's TWO files that come with getting the fire statin venue to show up.

Right but did you download the venue changes files - there are two of them, then you go into build/bye and scroll down. You should see "Fire Station".

Yes I downloaded the venue change file from the link I added both packages into the Mod folder, but I still do not see fire station. I will keep trying tho thank you😊😊

ok so I downloaded everything and I am so lost. I downloaded and fixed up a fire station but theres no option for me to set the venue as a fire station. Right now the lot is set to generic. At first I thought it was under the lot traits and its not, and I'm currently not seeing it under my venue list. I have the injector files, the fire fighter career file, and the 2 venue change packages. Where am I going wrong?

Done the same, I have a fire station, currently set to generic, with all the requirement, front desk and treadmills. Both venue change packages are downloaded and in my mod folder. Went into build/buy mode and still don't see the fire station option on venue list. Please help, did anyone else manage to find the fire station venue?

Can't seem to work out how the write the Fire Safety Book at the moment. Perhaps day 2 at work will make it clear!

My sim has the connection reward trait, and started at level 4 hose handler. So I will just ignore it. Great mod though really enjoying it!

Please note: You can not have any other mods that impact venue lists or you will not see the fire station pop up. I will no longer offer assistance on this unless you can't see the fire station without any other mods in your game. Look at your mods folder very closely. I am working on asking Basemental to add my fire station to his venues list and will update once he has added it.

I’m not sure if this has been mentioned, but I *think* this is safe to use with LittleMsSam’s More Buyable Venues and New Venue types mod. Her mod *includes* Zerbu’s Venue List (Zerbu - Venues.package) so that won’t be needed. I say I *think* because I have her mod and I am pretty sure I saw the fire station Lot trait show up in the list when I was editing a lot. I am not at my computer right now to double check but I could have sworn I saw it show up. I forgot I even added it otherwise I would have played around with it lol

The lists are included but they can't be used together for that reason aka they would conflict. This mod does not include a Fire Station lot trait, there is a fire station venue option but not a lot trait that has a custom tuning ID number.

The only solution is, you have something that is conflicting with the front desk. Do a 50/50.

hi so my mod works great think I just messed up placing the lot I have the trait and i put it in the lot but is their specific lot type because i don't see a firehouse or anything

Does Little Ms Sams' Live In Business mods affect this? I'm trying to add this one, and I've already had the XML and Zerbu's venue stuff. I downloaded your package files and don't see it. I just removed my "more buyable venues" of hers, so just wondering what others I am missing.

Nevermind, I found it! It was actually one of my WW animations. Just in case it helps someone else, it is called "Ksuihuh_Venue List.package". It was actually under AEP Porn lol. So part of a package I downloaded with Wicked Whims.

I have downloaded a fire station venue, and am sure that the game and all mods are updated (including the requirements for Zerbu's mods, XML injector, etc.). When I try to change the venue from generic to fire station, the option for fire station is not there. Any suggestions?
