Saw Merry Christmas and Hanuman. Merry Christmas - A thriller without thrills. Love story in backdrop of a murder. Minor movie from a major filmaker (Rangan). A movie you may admire but cannot enjoy (Rangan). Definitely below Andhadhun, Johnny Gaddar, Badlapur and Ek Hasina Thi. Hanuman - This movie is all about 2-3 scenes with chanting as BGM and onscreen presence of God(s) or godlike power. Rest of the movie is campy, cheesy, full of tropes, standard rural telugu setting, completely unnecessary and long romantic track, completely forgettable villains and fulsome display of poverty-stricken budget. The presence of divine and small budget will propel it to success commercially.
