Anything but Pokkiri or Aayirathil Oruvan will be worth it. Aayirathil Oruvan has an outstanding second half but the 1st half is muddled with bad CGI and even unrequired sequences added on the behest of the producer according to the director.

please just watch aayirathil oruvan , better than ps

For the next Rajinikanth watchalong you should watch the 2018 film “Kaala.” It’s a much more grounded take on a Rajinikanth film with an emphasis on storytelling and political messaging on slum development in Mumbai. The director (Pa Ranjith) is known for his visual storytelling and his symbolism and this film uses colors (Black and White) to tell an inverted version of the classic “Ramayana” story from Hindu mythology. Rajini’s performance is obviously top notch but there’s an immense amount of detail put into the supporting characters as well as with other Pa Ranjith films. Some of his political messaging is a bit on the nose but there’s no denying he’s a very talented filmmaker.
